Trinidad Lake Natural Asphalt TLA
Taken from an asphalt lake in the Caribbean island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. The asphalt lake contains a huge amount of natural asphalt, and the substance and chemical composition of the asphalt are all the same. Trinidad modified asphalt significantly improves the pavement performance of asphalt, especially the structural performance of the surface layer and the surface function of the pavement.
The temperature sensitivity of TLA is small, and the resistance to rutting is significantly improved. Since TLA itself is asphalt, it has good compatibility with ordinary heavy-cross asphalt, high viscosity, and has a significant effect on improving water stability. TLA has strong anti-aging properties, and the penetration after TFOT is significantly improved. TL does not contain wax, and the absolute value of freeze-thaw splitting strength is increased by more than 50%.
The addition of TLA can significantly improve the high temperature performance, water stability and fatigue resistance of SBR modified asphalt mixture.
The compound use of SBR and TLA is more conducive to improving the anti-rutting effect of the road surface.
The high content of TLA is suitable for high temperature and heavy load roads, and the high content of SBR is suitable for cold roads.
