Overview
Alkali slag cement is a chemically activated cementitious material prepared from alkali components and ground water-quenched blast furnace slag as the main raw materials.
Slag cement is also called slag portland cement. It consists of Portland cement clinker, 20%-70% granulated blast furnace slag and appropriate amount of gypsum.
Composition
The cementitious materials used are water-quenched slag or other industrial waste residues, and alkali activators, such as Sodium silicate, Na2SO4, etc., have fast setting and hardening, and the compressive strength can reach more than 20MPa in 5 hours. After hardening, the structure is dense, with low hydration heat, high It has the advantages of impermeability, high freezing resistance and high corrosion resistance.
Application
The construction process is the same as that of ordinary concrete, which can be used in industrial and civil buildings, especially for blocks and prefabricated components.
Scope of use
1. Used in high-strength, ultra-high-strength, high-performance concrete and prefabricated ready-mixed rods, pipes, large bridges and other industries of ordinary concrete, with high strength and smooth surface.
2. It is used in marine engineering, wharf, reservoir and tunnel engineering which are eroded by sea water.
3. Basic engineering used in various environments.
4. Used in highways, airport runways, heavy-duty vehicle road engineering, etc.
Use
Slag cement is used in ordinary concrete, various high-grade, high-performance concrete and cement products to replace the amount of cement in a moderate amount to improve the durability of concrete and cement products in various harsh environments. Mixing with superfine powder such as slag improves the compactness of concrete and cement products, and its later strength is high, which reduces the cost of concrete and cement products.
Weaknesses and Improvements
The main disadvantage of alkali slag cement is its poor adaptability with water reducing agent.
Naphthalene series superplasticizers have good adaptability to slag cement; barium nitrate can improve the fluidity of alkali slag cement.
