Brief introduction of desulfurization FGD gypsum
Desulfurized gypsum, gypsum of construction, CaSO4·2H2O, CaSO4·1/2H2O, calcium sulfate whiskers
Desulfurized gypsum is mainly produced by thermal power plants using wet limestone-gypsum desulfurization. In the desulfurization tower, SO2 gas is absorbed by CaCO3 in the limestone slurry to generate CaSO3, which is then oxidized to generate CaSO4. This slurry is dehydrated to form a solid mixture that is desulfurized gypsum.
The main component of desulfurized gypsum is CaSO4·2H2O.
Desulfurized gypsum is heat-treated at 110°-170° to form beta hemihydrate gypsum, namely CaSO4·1/2H2O. Also known as plaster of construction.
Application of desulfurized gypsum
1. Cement retarder
Adding a certain amount of desulfurized gypsum can effectively adjust the setting time of cement, improve strength, reduce dry shrinkage and improve frost resistance.
2. Cementitious material
Gypsum-based self-leveling mortar.
3. Calcium sulfate whiskers
It is a fibrous sub-nanometer material with the advantages of high strength and high toughness. Can be used as material modifier and environmental purifier.
4. Gypsum building materials
It can produce gypsum blocks and gypsum boards.
