Brief Introduction to magnesium oxychlorine cement

Keywords
Magnesium Oxychloride Cement, MOC, Artificial Panel Adhesives, Inorganic Adhesives

Magnesium Oxychloride Cement (MOC) is a green and environmentally friendly gelling material prepared from a certain amount of active magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride solution.  Magnesium oxychloride adhesive has the advantages of low price, environmental protection, high bonding strength, fire resistance, and aging resistance.
Magnesium oxychloride cement is an air-hardening cementitious material obtained by blending magnesium chloride aqueous solution with a certain concentration and active magnesium oxide powder.

Notable features
Magnesium oxychloride cement is an air-hardening cementitious material.  The strength continues to increase in dry air, but the solubility of its hydration products in water is large, which makes its cement products easy to return to brine, warp, and deform when used in a humid environment.

General application
Magnesium oxychloride cement has a marble-like smooth surface.  So it is an excellent material for decorative materials.
Magnesium oxychloride cement has high wear resistance, especially suitable for the production of floor tiles and other high wear-resistant products.  Especially abrasive abrasives, such as polished brick grinding blocks, etc.;
Magnesium oxychloride cement building material products generally have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, even composite glass fiber, its fire resistance temperature is as high as 300 ℃ or more.  Therefore, it is widely used in the production of fireproof boards;
Magnesium oxychloride cement is slightly alkaline and has little corrosion to glass fiber and wood fiber, so it can be used in the production of alkali-resistant glass fiber and plant fiber products.

Main Performance
It belongs to air hardening cement.  Common cementitious materials are represented by general-purpose cement, all of which are hydraulic, that is, they can harden in water.  However, magnesium oxychloride cement is completely different from conventional cement. It is air-hardening and does not harden in water. This is a more prominent feature of magnesium oxychloride cement compared with conventional cement.
High strength, magnesium oxychloride cement can easily reach 62.5MPa.
High wear resistance, its wear resistance is three times that of ordinary Portland cement.
High temperature and low temperature resistance. Among various inorganic cementitious materials, only magnesium oxychloride cement has the characteristics of both high temperature resistance and low temperature resistance.
Anti-salt brine corrosion;
Air stability and weather resistance.  Since magnesium oxychloride cement is air-hardening, it can only continue to solidify and harden in the air after final setting, which makes it have good air stability. The drier the air, the more stable it is.
