Introduction to self-compacting fair-faced concrete building materials
Key words
Self-compacting concrete, fair-faced concrete, polycarboxylate superplasticizer, architectural concrete
Self-compacting fair-faced concrete combines the advantages of self-compacting concrete and fair-faced concrete, with good fluidity, filling and segregation resistance. It is a new type of green concrete with good decorative effect and easy construction.
Self-compacting concrete
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) refers to concrete that can flow and densify under the action of its own gravity, and can completely fill the formwork even if there are dense steel bars, while achieving good homogeneity and requiring no additional vibration.
Preparation principle
The principle of formulating self-compacting concrete is to reduce the yield stress of concrete enough to be overcome by the shear stress generated by its own weight through the selection and matching of admixtures, cementing materials and coarse and fine aggregates and careful mixing ratio design, so as to make the concrete fluidity. At the same time, it has sufficient plastic viscosity, so that the aggregate is suspended in the cement slurry without segregation and bleeding problems, and can flow freely and fully fill the space in the template to form a dense and uniform cementitious structure.
Fair-faced concrete
Fair-faced concrete (Architectural concrete) is an expression technique of architectural modernism, also known as decorative concrete because of its decorative effect. The basic idea is that after the concrete is poured, there will no longer be any painting, tile, stone and other materials, which is a plain way of expressing concrete. However, for fear of being soaked or deteriorated by rain, it may be sprayed with a waterproof protective film.
Self-compacting fair-faced concrete is usually made of Portland cement, fly ash, aggregate sand, polycarboxylate superplasticizer, air-entraining agent, defoamer, etc.
